Meet Dr. Dieter Hoelzer

Dr. Hoelzer is a hematologist/oncologist and professor of internal medicine at the University of Frankfurt, with a focus on the study of acute leukemias. He studied medicine at the Universities of Münster, Munich, Vienna and Freiburg, and also received a PhD in Clinical Physiology. He is one of five founders, and President, of the European Hematology Association, has won numerous international awards, and authored or co-authored several international textbooks and over 800 peer-reviewed publications.
